Cooler weather means chestnuts roasting on an open fire - and you can be sure that we’ve sourced beautiful crops from Victoria. Chestnuts actually have a lower fat content than other nuts, and are rich in fibre, Vitamin B2 and Vitamin E for good digestive and immune system function. Known as ‘castagne’ in Italy, chestnuts are a very common ingredient in authentic Italian cooking for cakes, stuffing and even sweet puree and spreads. Store your fresh chestnuts in an airtight container in the fridge for up to ten days.
