Gold Dinner 2019
One of the best things about growing as a business is being able to give back to our community, and what better way than to partner with Sydney’s signature fundraising event Gold Dinner?
Gold Dinner is truly like no other charity event. Founded in 1997, it’s an exclusive charity gala that has raised over $26 million for the Sydney’ Children’s Hospital Foundation.
In the past, proceeds from the event have helped support projects such as The Centre for Clinical Genetics, palliative care, research into rare diseases and the Kids Cancer Centre. This year’s beneficiary was Critical Care, which helps children in need of urgent treatment.
Our decision to partner with the event lies in a shared vision - to improve children’s health now, and in the future. We are honoured to have provided our fresh produce as the base for the amazing creations served at such a prestigious event, and none went to waste either. Any leftover food was donated to OzHarvest after the event, to help those in need. To be part of such a powerful evening was a proud moment for the business, and our entire family.
Over the course of the gold themed night, glamorous guests were invited to bid on exclusive prizes that celebrate the city of Sydney, such as a cruise on the harbour, and lunch with the Hon. Julie Bishop MP. In total, guests helped to raise a staggering $3 million, and still counting! It feels magical to watch people coming together to leave the world a better place than they found it.
As a family run business, our heart lies within the community that has looked after us so well. This is our chance to give the same support back.
