#culinarymasterclassseries was designed to inspire and educate.

Julian Parisi joined with a team of highly experienced @Merivale chefs, to take a guided tour of @SydneyMarkets as part of the #culinarymasterclassseries initiative. 

This 10 week program was designed to inspire, upskill and provide new knowledge to chefs across the #Merivale group. 

Julian and the Parisi team start everyday bright and early at Sydney Markets, hand picking quality produce from the best local suppliers Sydney has to offer. This is to ensures Parisi provides flavour, aroma, colour and freshness of the highest quality across all their produce.

6:45AM

Presentation on Herbs and Flowers at Export Fresh by Director Tony Mann. 

Here the chefs were able to see, taste and feel Export Fresh’s Petit Bouche range, one of Parisi’s biggest suppliers. They provide an exceptional plethora of miniature vegetables, herbs, leaves and edible flowers which can be used to add creative flair and style to any dish.

7:00AM 

The team moved on to enjoy a presentation on gourmet potatoes by Yep Lum. Here they were able to learn about a wide variety of gourmet potatoes and what they can bring to different dishes depending how they are prepared and cooked.

7:30AM 

Perfection Fresh Australia then showed off their delicious range of freshly picked tomatoes and berries.

This development program was created by one of Merivale’s executive chefs to help skilled chefs open their minds, think outside the box and build further knowledge on the high quality products available to them. An initiative to spark new inspiration and fuel each individual's unique creative flair.
