Our Story

Founded in Sydney in 1954, Parisi has held it’s long standing heritage of quality and customer service in fresh produce. These core beliefs are still standing today with quality product offerings in wholesale, ready to eat meals, gifting, catering and growing partnerships with local growers and farmers; Australia wide. Parisi welcomes it’s customers to experience a unique customer service and product offering. Both Chris and Julian Parisi are directors since 2012.

A FRUITFUL HISTORY

In 1954 Antonio and Giovanna Parisi migrated to Sydney Australia from the Aeolian island of Lipari. This was the beginning of their Australian dream. Antonio's first retail shop was in South Strathfield, followed by Burwood where his then 19 year old son; Chris Parisi joined in 1977 and a flare for unique produce was ignited. Antonio's other two sons, Dominic and John Parisi joined alongside the growth of the business in 1981. From then the customer service and branding of Parisi became stronger than ever moving to the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Rose Bay. 

'Parisi's of Rose Bay' was born on New South head road where solid friendships and a strong customer base was established. They set themselves apart by creating a self service retail business and offered many product lines that were delicacies and unique for that time. The importance of quality was emphasised not only through taste, but with product display. The joy of displaying fruit was a family art. This captured the attention of media outlets across Sydney and Parisi began to grow even more into a household name. 

As time went on, the next generation would spend time working and helping in store and soon enough other opportunities arose. Chris and his brothers moved on from Rose Bay where Chris and his son Julian opened a Parisi store at Sydney Fish Market, still operating today. His son Julian Parisi joined in 2012 from a finance background and saw a path to continue the business into wholesale where a step further was taken to expand the brand into specialised restaurant consultancy and food service supply. From here Parisi gifting, catering and online retail was born. 

Today the business stands in it's third generation where technology, innovation and sustainability are included as key forces to driving the business' future prospects.
